Happily Ever After, Ya'll

When I met Marty, Clint was in middle school. He was all sports, no girls, threw tantrums over homework and was too cool for any of his friends to see me drop off his Butcher Boy's lunch at school.Over the years I have watched him slowly but surely mature. We watched him play his heart out at football games, graduate from high school and then the fire academy, take jobs to help towns who suffered horrible devastation after a massive storm. Yep - we have watched Clint grow into a man. Don't get me wrong - he is still the one putting mashed potatoes into a gift bag at Chrismas time with his brother and cracking nuts under his chair at a steak house, but the tides, well... they have changed! Girls were never a topic Clint shared, and he rarely brought any home. Until Kelly. When we showed up in Texas a few weeks ago and met Clint at a gas station in passing (on his way out to the wedding location), his car was loaded down with dogs and Vera Bradley bags and decorations. He called his mom later to tell her he forgot the ribbon and needed her to pick it up from his house. That right there is what I call a sold man.

Their wedding was sweet, beautiful and very country...just like our Clint. So here is wishing them a happily ever after, ya'll. We love you, Clint Poole.
