When you are the big sister, you get to play sports and have your Dad as your very own coach!

And you get to learn from him how to kick a killer goal by surprising everyone with that left foot.

When you are the big sister, you get your own cheering squad who shows up at the game just for you.

When you're the little sister, you have to go to your big sister's soccer games and sit in the stroller. It's all hot and sweaty in there, and your mommy gives you a book that only plays 2 songs and stuffs you full of snacks to hush you up. Sometimes you can fuss and squint your eyes up tight, and someone will feel sorry for you and pick you up!

It isn't always easy being the little sister...your memory isn't so good, so sometimes you don't remember that you are supposed to love your family and be thankful that they came so far just to visit you...and that you are not supposed to require warm-up periods! ;o)

When you're the big sister whose memory is much better and whose demeanor is much more lovey-dovey, this is the face you make when your Mimmy and Papaw make a very special trip out just to see you...and then they spend the afternoon telling you what a great soccer player you are!

Sometimes being the little sister has its advantages. You pretty much get to decide when you want to be held and kissed and hugged...and then you just tell everyone what you've decided. You do this by grinning and lifting up your chubby little arms....or by waving your little finger "no, no, no!" or throwing yourself face first onto the floor.

When you are the little sister, you get to learn super cool tricks that you don't know yet - like how to "high 5!"

Big or little - you get to have a Papaw who always has a lap ready just for you or who willingly plays with you before 7:00 a.m.! What could be better than that?
And a Mimmy who will play the same game with you over and over and over or tickle your arm while you watch The Backyardigans for the 359th time.
Our girls will be looking forward to the next time they get to have lots of love and snuggles from their Mimmy and Papaw. Until then, thank goodness for Skype!
