4th of July

Well - my sister and her neighbor threw their big Fourth of July party. The one I wait for all year. AND I forgot my camera. Given that I am always the one following people around these ordeals with my camera, it was a total bummer. So I had to use the ones that were taken by others for us. Lucky for me, there are at least a few good ones!

Marty entertained Carsie for a bit playing what my dad used to call tick-tock. Holding her upside down and swinging back and forth. As you can clearly see, she did not love it one bit. (ok, maybe just a smidge.)

They did, of course, have the big bike parade. There weren't quite as many decorations this year, and no curbside music...but still a fun event!

And little Miss rode in her wagon. I have to say it was a bit of a workout pulling her (and another baby) around the block several times in that thing. Sad but true~!

This is not my best angle - but proof that she is not always little mean. She can give a lot of love when she wants to!

And of course, there was face paint and necklaces and glow sticks and sprinklers...

Just like every year, it was a wonderful time. I look forward to the day we can stay a little later and Carsyn can be awake to enjoy the fireworks and other fun festivities!! And so we don't feel like losers leaving so early!
