I was so excited to have Kate and Lillian come and visit for the weekend. The girls have not seen one another since they were about 5 months old, and I am always up for getting to spend some time with Kate. Sometimes, it is nice to just have some girl time to talk about old memories, have a beer or two, and of course - spend WAY too much money at Target.
I think it is safe to say Lils is a bit more mellow than Carsyn.... please notice the stare Carysn is getting from her...like, "What is your deal, missy???"
She did warm up to Lillian by the next morning, and they played Carsyn's favorite game where they open the mailbox and Camden screams and pops the stuffed animal out. As you can see - both girls completely loved the game!
Kate has a gift with babies. Maybe because she babysat for like a million kids while she was in college, she was smart enough to recognize right away that Carsyn does not love new people and certainly does not love new people in her personal space. So she smiled at her and talked to her but did not try and touch her or hold her or bother her...and by Saturday, Carysn had already decided she liked her. She even brought her a book to read and sat on her lap. I was so proud and wanted to make sure to capture the moment!!! It doesn't happen very often.
Camden was great with the kids as always. She entertained them all morning - and quickly made friends with Lillian!
I love the dimples. They are seriously the sweetest thing.
Kate and I were looking at these pictures and laughing about Carysn and the amount of hair that kid has. She looks like she is at least 2!
